Nudy’s Cafe Exton PA โ Great Pancakes, But Where’s the Espresso? ๐ฅโ
Everyone told us to go. So we went. Verdict? It’s complicated. ๐
When everyone in Exton keeps telling you to try a place, you go. So we jumped on their website which by the way is really well laid out, nice work Nudy’s, picked our orders and headed in. And then we spotted it. Or rather, didn’t spot it. No espresso.
I’m sorry, you’re a cafรฉ. A CAFร. Not a diner. I don’t expect a diner to have espresso but a cafรฉ? Come on. ๐ We’re moving past it. We’re fine. It’s fine.
What We Ordered ๐
Roy went healthy avocado toast (known in Australia as Smashed Avo, because we like to name things properly ๐ฆ), two eggs on multigrain. Skipped the honey because living in the USA already provides enough sugar in literally everything. Also ordered a short stack of pancakes because some habits die hard.
Fiona went for the breakfast bagel bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel.
The Breakfast Bagel ๐ฅฏ โ โ โ โ โ
Let’s start with Fiona’s. The bacon? Great nice and crispy. Egg cooked just how she likes it, over hard. Cheese? Lovely. The bagel thoughโฆ that was the let down. It wasn’t an everything bagel, and it tasted like it came straight out of a supermarket packet. For a place with the reputation Nudy’s has built, a store bought bagel is a bit of a head scratcher. Come on Nudy’s, you’re better than that. ๐
The Smashed Avo ๐ฅ โ โ โ โ โ
Roy’s avocado toast was solid nice multigrain bread, avocado smashed up well, eggs cooked perfectly, and a couple of chunks of strawberry on top which was a nice touch. Not blown away, but it was exactly what was ordered and it was tasty. Sometimes that’s all you need.
The Pancakes ๐ฅ โ โ โ โ โ 5/5
Now HERE we go. We always save the pancakes for last let the butter melt in, let the syrup do its thing. They forgot the butter which was a bit of a miss, but we added our own and oh boy. These pancakes. THESE PANCAKES. Soft, fluffy, flavourful, and the syrup they provided was genuinely great. Some of the best pancakes we have ever eaten and we are not exaggerating. We would go back to Nudy’s just for the pancakes alone.
We almost forgave them for the no espresso situation. Almost. ๐

The Verdict
Nudy’s isn’t a bad place at all there are just a few things holding it back from being truly great. Sort out the bagels, add espresso, and this place could really live up to the hype it gets. The pancakes though? Absolutely non-negotiable. Order them. Trust us.
And look if you’re in Exton PA and looking for a casual breakfast spot it’s worth a visit, just go in with realistic expectations and for the love of all things holy, order the pancakes. ๐ฅ
