Spring is in the air, the flowers are coming back, and most importantly the Easter donuts are here. Priorities. 😄
It’s that time of year the air is getting warmer, the leaves and flowers are making their comeback, and the seasonal food drops are hitting hard. We stopped into Duck Donuts to grab their new Easter box and the moment we walked in that smell of fresh donuts frying hit us immediately. There is only so much drool a person can produce. 😂
The Donuts 🍩
The Easter box comes loaded with some seriously fun flavour combos Blueberry Streusel, Strawberry Cream, Bunny Tail, Lemon Coconut and more. We grabbed the full box and broke them all down so you know exactly what you’re getting. Let’s go. 🐰
Strawberry Easter Confetti ★★★★☆ Tasty frosting with a nice flavour and sprinkles. Because who doesn’t love sprinkles? Simple, fun and enjoyable.
Lemon Coconut ★★★★☆ A nice light lemon flavour with toasted coconut fun, a little tropical and genuinely tasty. For our Aussie friends and expats this one gives off serious lamington vibes. 🦘
Blueberry Streusel ★★★★☆ We are both big blueberry fans so this was always going to be a winner. Strong but not overpowering blueberry frosting, and the streusel on top was buttery and soft not hard and dry the way it can sometimes be. Really tasty.
Peanut Butter Fluff ★★★★☆ This is a peanut butter lover’s dream donut. For us personally it was a touch too strong on the peanut butter but if you love PB you absolutely have to try this one it was made for you.
Bunny Tail 🐰 ★★★☆☆ Adorable looking genuinely one of the cutest donuts in the box. But wow, that buttercream. We both took a bite and immediately thought of the diabetes meme. 😂 Way too sweet a lighter touch on the buttercream would have made this a winner. Cute to look at, proceed with caution.
Glazed Easter Confetti ★★★☆☆ A glazed donut with sprinkles nothing special but tasty and fun. Exactly what it says on the tin.
Chocolate Easter Confetti ★★★★☆ This one divided us. Fiona loved it said the heavy chocolate flavour was great. Roy found it had a slightly odd taste, almost like burnt chocolate. Our verdict? If you’re a chocolate lover go for it trust Fiona on this one. 😄
Cookie Crumble ★★★★★ This was really good. It’s like having an Oreo and a donut at the same time and that is always a win. Always. 🍪🍩
Strawberry Lemonade ★★★★☆ One of our favourites in the box light lemon flavour paired with a nice strawberry frosting made for an extremely good combo. We both loved this one.
Blueberry Lemonade ★★★★☆ Another great combo lemon and blueberry paired perfectly with just the right hint of both. Really well balanced and really enjoyable.
Strawberry Cream ★★★★☆ Really good nice balance of flavours and a solid all round donut.
Vanilla Easter Confetti ★★★☆☆ Simple vanilla frosted donut with sprinkles. Not bad at all, just simple. Sometimes simple is fine.

The Verdict
All round this was a really good Easter box the donuts were fresh, soft and the flavour combos were on point. Duck Donuts knows how to do seasonal and this Easter box delivered.
Our one gripe? The price. At $23 for a box we still feel Duck Donuts is a touch expensive for what you get. The donuts are good no denying that but the value isn’t quite there compared to a great local donut shop. If price isn’t a concern for you, absolutely go for it. You won’t be disappointed.
For our Aussie friends and expats Duck Donuts is worth trying at least once for the experience, and that Lemon Coconut will give you those lamington feels right when you need them. 🦘🍩
